| Originalmente (1992), esse edifício foi concebido para abrigar a sede administrativa de uma grande empresa. Posteriormente foi adaptado para atender as especificidades funcionais de uma emissora pública de televisão educativa. A geometria irregular do terreno determinou a volumetria fragmentada que caracteriza esta arquitetura. Um volume-massa / aberturas reduzidas (que controla a incidência da insolação desfavorável das fachadas norte e oeste), faz contraponto com uma sequência de módulos vidro laminado / estrutura aparente constituídos por prismas tridimencionais com escalonamentos terraceados, recebendo a insolação favorável leste/sul. A intenção foi explorar o potencial estético de uma pré-arquitetura-colagem, uma espécie de sincretismo cuidadoso entre duas linguagens compositivas (aditiva e subtrativa), em busca de harmonia na gênese do objeto arquitetônico, que o tornaria ( e talvez o tenha tornado?) resistente (na sua essência) ao caos imposto por inúmeras, infelizmente aleatórias e inevitáveis inserções em obras desse tipo (novas antenas, puxados, terraços adicionais, letreiros, etc. | Originally (1992), this building was designed to be the administrative headquarter of a business company. During the construction process it was adapted to attend the functional demands of a public educational television broadcast. The irregular geometry of the site, determined a broken-up geometry that is the main characteristic of this building. A massive volume with controlled openings (due to the disfavored solar heating on the North and West facades) opposes a sequence of coated glass panels inserted in a set of terraced prismatic three-dimensional structural modules, in exposed concrete finishing, on the East and South facades. The intention was to explore the aesthetics potential of a kind of collage architecture, a careful syncretism between the additive and the subtractive architectural composite strategies (where is possible to add up or to take out), in search for the desired harmony of the resulting building. This approach, I hope have made it resistant (in its essence) to the chaos, unfortunately imposed by random insertions of fixtures like, (new aerials, informal extensions, additional terraces, advertisement signs etc)? | |||
